Founded in Alba in 1937, Ceretto is led by Alessandro Ceretto, the third generation of the family. He studied winemaking in Australia, California, France, and South Africa. The winery obtained organic certification in 2015 and began fermentation experimentation without selected yeasts in 2008. Ceretto co-founded Piazza Duomo with chef Enrico Crippa, Piedmont's first three-star Michelin restaurant.
