About

Center of the Universe Origin began in 2011 when brothers Chris and Phil Ray turned their home brewing hobby into a working brewery in Ashland. The program has earned consistent recognition across major competitions. The Bald Irishman took Gold at the World Beer Cup in 2018, while Session Pale Ale won Silver the same year. Monkey's Uncle claimed Gold at the Virginia Craft Brewers Cup in 2019 and Silver at the Can Can Awards in 2019. The tasting room, located at 11293 Air Park Road, opens Monday through Friday from 4 pm to 9 pm, Saturday noon to 9 pm, and Sunday noon to 8 pm.
