About Castle Pierreclos
Vines have been planted here since the 6th century, on a rocky spur called Petra Clausa, clos de pierre. The canons of Saint-Vincent de Mâcon and then Benedictine monks from Cluny Abbey held the property. Today the Pidault family manages the château and its Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Cru program. All wines are made with Chardonnay in the style of great Burgundy Chardonnays. The estate can accommodate 480 seated guests, with on-site lodging for 35 and the Maison d'Amis guest house for 20 more. Pierreclos is located 90 minutes by TGV from Paris to Mâcon Loché.
