About Cascina Val del Prete
Cascina Val del Prete began in 1977 when Bartolomeo Roagna purchased the property in Priocca, within the Roero territory. The work shifted in 1995 when Mario Roagna took over and moved toward natural agriculture and bottled wine production. Giovanni Roagna joined in 2010. For more than twenty years, the vineyard has practiced natural agriculture. The program centers on Barbera, Nebbiolo, and Arneis. Fermentation relies on indigenous yeasts, with maceration lasting 25 to 30 days depending on the vintage. The Roero Riserva ages in wood for up to three years.
