Founded in 1992 by an Andalusian immigrant in San Juan's Tulúm Valley, Casa Montes sits at a privileged spot 700 meters above sea level where desert conditions and snowmelt create ideal ripening. This serious operation runs 156 hectares of vines and a state-of-the-art bodega with computerized temperature control, French and American oak, and their own 35-million-liter water reservoir.
