The organization unites the country's main bulk wine exporters, channeling output from a sprawling industry. Argentina's 214,798 hectares of vineyards span 18 provinces, with Mendoza commanding 70 percent of national production and San Juan contributing 20 percent. More than 17,000 producers work these vineyards, 95 percent of them farming fewer than 50 hectares. Over 1,000 wine establishments operate across the country, generating 385,000 jobs directly and indirectly. The chamber maintains a tasting room.
