Bugling Elk Vineyards

About

Bugling Elk Vineyards opened in 2017 in Penrose, Colorado, founded by a retired Green Beret who spent 26 years in the U.S. Army, most of that time with the 10th Special Forces Group. The owner developed an interest in wine culture while stationed in Germany. The program spans Merlot, Pinot Noir, Marquette, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewurztraminer, and Riesling. Ruttin Red, a blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Pinot Noir, anchors the portfolio. White wines pour at $5 per glass or $17 per bottle. Golden Meadows wine is exclusive to the tasting room at 1215 Apple Lane.
