Brix and Columns Vineyards in McGaheysville produces a portfolio spanning Merlot, Cab Franc, Chambourcin, Viognier, Chardonnay, Petit Manseng, Cabernet Sauvignon, Vidal Blanc, and Riesling. The 2022 Rosé, a dry saignée blend of Merlot, Cab Franc and Chambourcin, carries hints of orange blossom and citrus. The 2024 Viognier, fermented and aged in stainless steel, offers aromas and flavors of white flower blossoms and mango. The 2020 Chardonnay, fermented and aged in 50% new and 50% neutral French oak, shows green apple. The 2021 Chardonnay is 100% estate-grown Chardonnay aged in both neutral and new French oak. The 2022 Petit Manseng, fermented and aged in 20% new and 80% neutral French oak, brings tropical flavors and acidity. Most wines have earned gold or silver medals in reputable competitions. The tasting room welcomes visitors Monday through Thursday 11 to 6, Friday 11 to 9, Saturday 11 to 5, and Sunday noon to 6, with outdoor seating and a picnic area. The vineyard also operates as a wedding venue.
