About Botanica Wines

Botanica Wines was founded in 2009 by owner and self-taught winemaker Ginny Povall on Protea Heights farm in Stellenbosch's Devon Valley. The 21.6 hectare estate features 10 hectares of indigenous protea flowers and 5 hectares of organically farmed vineyards producing Bordeaux varietals. The winery is inspired by the farm's heritage as South Africa's first commercial flower farm, reflected in its botanical wine labels and ranges.
