About Bar Harbor Cellars Winery
Open Monday to Saturday, 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, closed Sunday
On Mount Desert Island, just outside Bar Harbor, Bar Harbor Cellars Winery grows out of what was once Sweet Pea Farms, a regenerative agricultural property. The winery was first established in the early 2000s. Its tasting room is a wooden barn from the 1860s, raised through traditional joinery. Outside sit a small vineyard, a blueberry field, and an heirloom apple orchard. Every wine is produced and bottled on site, spanning dry, semi-sweet, and sweet styles made from both traditional vinifera and fruit. The portfolio includes a 2025 Albariño and Sauvignon Blanc, a 2023 Chardonnay called Sharada, a 2023 Riesling called Rising Tide, a 2022 Pinot Noir called Red Pine, a 2022 Syrah called Sarah, a 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon called Lombardi, a 2021 Red Reserve called CSM Blend, and a 2023 Frambuesa, a sherry-like fortified raspberry wine.
