Bannert has been in family hands since 1856, now in its sixth generation under Manfred Bannert's direction. The winery is located in Obermarkersdorf, in the Weinviertel, where it produces Grüner Veltliner. The 2023 Grüner Veltliner Weinviertel DAC Ried Rosenhügel Selektion earned 92 points at the Falstaff Weinviertel DAC Cup 2024. The house also operates as an event and wedding venue.
