Babunidze Wines was founded in 2016 by Giorgi Babunidze, who has worked in Georgian winemaking since 2006, with vineyards near Telavi in the village of Kurdgelauri, Kakheti. The winery produces qvevri wines from Saperavi, Kisi, Khikhvi, Mtsvane, and Rkatsiteli, aged 5-6 months on the skins.
