About Azienda Agricola Cupano
Azienda Agricola Cupano began in 1997 on land that had lain uncultivated for over four decades. Lionel Cousin and Ornella Tondini tend 6.4 hectares of vineyard across 35 hectares, farming organically. The first vintage arrived in 2000. The program centers on Sangiovese alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, with Brunello di Montalcino as the house anchor. The Brunello spends at least three years on fine lees in Burgundy barrels, bottled unfiltered four years after harvest. The Riserva spends four years in barrel with forty to fifty percent new oak, bottled unfiltered five years after harvest. Rosso di Montalcino and Ombrone complete the portfolio.
