The property in Sirmione traces back to 1782, when it stood as a house with cellar in Lugana. Felice Dal Cero founded the winery in 1939. His son Pietro participated in the birth of the DOC in 1969 and bottled the first Lugana label. Now in its fourth generation, Santa Rosa Dal Cero, Igino Dal Cero, Gian Franco Dal Cero, and Anna Maria Dal Cero manage the winery. Grapes from each vineyard are vinified separately.
