Arns Winery

About Arns Winery

Arns Winery, located in Napa Valley, was sold in 2019, and its wines are now crafted at a family-owned winery in the southern Mt. Veeder appellation. Proprietors John and Sandi Arns have extensive backgrounds in winemaking, with Sandi starting her career in 1972 after studying at UC Davis. She has worked at notable wineries such as Chateau Montelena and Heitz Cellars, while John, who studied viticulture and enology at UC Davis, developed his passion for grapevines in Australia.

The winery began producing commercially in 1992 with a Cabernet Sauvignon from estate-grown grapes. Arns Winery is known for its well-balanced wines, including a Chardonnay that showcases bright fruit flavors and a Cabernet Sauvignon with vibrant acidity and complex aromas. The Syrah is noted for its elegant expression of the variety, with subtle smokiness and peppery notes.

Although the original property was sold and later destroyed in a fire, the Arns brand continues to thrive. The couple participates in various tastings across the country and offers their wines through select distributors and their website.
