Angelita Vineyard & Winery sits in Angus, just south of Corsicana, two miles east of I-45 at exit 225. Wine is made on-site from estate vineyards. The portfolio spans Blanc du Bois, Alicante Bouschet, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Primitivo, Chambourcin, Cynthiana, and Muscat Canelli. Anna's Angel, a Blanc du Bois priced at $25, has won Bronze at the Lone Star International Wine Competition, Silver at Grapefest People's Choice Tasting, and Bronze at the North-Central Texas Wine Competition. Corsicana, a medium to full bodied Tuscan-style red blend of Alicante Bouschet, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Primitivo at $26, was inspired by the film shot in town. The tasting room requires no reservation. Cheese plates and outdoor seating are available. Tastings, flights, wine by the glass, and bottles are offered. The house hosts harvest parties, live music events, and holiday specials, and accommodates private events including weddings and reunions by appointment.
