About
AnaBerika is a family marani in the village of Velistsikhe, in Gurjaani municipality of Kakheti, led by Ana Berikashvili, a fifth-generation winemaker and the first woman in her family to run the cellar. The wines are made by the traditional qvevri method with minimal intervention, including an amber Mtsvane from Velistsikhe fruit that is exported to Europe. The small cellar door receives visitors for tours, tastings and sit-down meals, with picnics offered as well, and advance booking is expected.
