Alzinger began in 1970 in Dürnstein, when Leo Alzinger sen. established the winery's approach. Hand labor defines the work across the steep slopes of the Wachau. The program centers on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. The Grüner Veltliner Ried Loibenberg earned a 96 from Wine Advocate for the 2019 vintage. Leo Alzinger sen., Katharina Alzinger, and Leo Alzinger jun. lead the cellar now. The winery won a double victory in the A la Carte Riesling tasting.
