Aichinger

About

Aichinger works across wine and orchard in Theiß, in Austria's Kremstal. Grüner Veltliner anchors the program, joined by Weißburgunder, Riesling (first bottled in 2016), and Zweigelt. The Zweigelt ages in large oak barrels in the cellar at the foot of Gedersdorfer vineyard. Beyond still wines, the house produces Frizzante versions of both Grüner Veltliner and Rosé. Orchards surrounding Theiß yield apples harvested from August onward, transformed into cider and juice made from fresh apples and vitamin C. Red grape juice from Zweigelt rounds out the portfolio.
