Adega Cooperativa de Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo is a cooperative winery founded in 1956 in the Beira Interior region, located at the foothills of Serra da Marofa between the valleys of rivers Côa and Águeda. The winery produces high-quality wines with a heritage tracing back to Cistercian monks in the 12th century who introduced viticulture to the region. Currently operating with 350 members, the winery processes approximately 6.5 million kilograms of grapes annually, producing around 4.8 million liters of wine (55% white, 45% red).
