About Weingut Fries

Daniel and Reiner Fries work vineyards on the Winningen slate slopes in Löf, hand-managing the sites with no fining agents in the cellar. The program moves through wood barrel aging. Röttgen and Uhlen, their named vineyard parcels, numbered among the Mosel's most valuable locations in the nineteenth century. The portfolio spans Riesling, Pinot Noir, Spätburgunder, Weißburgunder, and Chardonnay, from the dry Riesling Vom Grauen Schiefer and Terrassen bottlings to Riesling Kabinett, the Pinot Noir Vom Schiefer, Terrassen Pinot Noir, and the white blend Distel. A Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature rounds the work. A tasting room is available.
