About Weingut Blank
Weingut Blank sits on steep slopes in Triefenstein-Homburg, where vineyard parcels in the Kallmuth and Edelfrau sites climb at 30 to 50 percent gradient. Kallmuth ranks among Franconia's four major vineyard sites. The house switched to direct sales in 1995, then expanded to 3.5 hectares and built a new cellar and Heckenwirtschaft in 1998. Jonas Blank studied beverage technology. Most of the vineyard runs on drip irrigation. A Projektweingarten planted with traditional Franconian white field blends, Silvaner through Heunisch, hosts tastings in a tuff stone cave for up to 15 persons. The estate offers guest rooms and an apartment with breakfast, and welcomes wine tastings for groups of 12 to 40, or online tastings for five or more households.
