Weingut Ritzheim

About

Weingut Ritzheim was founded in the middle of the 19th century. Albert Ritzheim, a certified master winemaker, has been creating wines for over 30 years. Carsten Ritzheim, the sixth generation to lead the estate, completed winemaking training and studied viticulture and oenology. The cellar holds wooden barrels some over 60 years old. The portfolio spans Riesling, Burgunder, Sauvignon Blanc, Bacchus, Scheurebe, Gewürztraminer, Portugieser, Spätburgunder, Dornfelder, Cabernet Mitos, Goldmuskateller, and Merlot. Among them, a light-pressed Merlot called Merlot 'hell gekeltert' and Goldmuskateller, available since 2018, represent the winery's offerings.
