Weingut Kurt Bug

About Weingut Kurt Bug

Weingut Kurt Bug has worked the same vineyard parcels in Oestrich-Winkel since 1680. Over 6 hectares spread across Hallgartener Jungfer, Hendelberg, Würzgarten, Schönhell, and Oestricher Doosberg. Sebastian Bug, trained at Schloss Johannisberg with 15 years of experience, took over with Yvonne in 2014. Together with Ulli Bug, they tend the program with minimal pesticide use. The house produces Riesling, Spätburgunder, Weißburgunder, Sauvignon Blanc, and Roter Müller-Thurgau. That last varietal grows nowhere else in Rheingau. The portfolio includes Rheingau Grosses Gewächs. Since 2020, two small vacation apartments are available on the property.
