61 Degrees North Winery

About

61 Degrees North opened in December 2023 at 5001 Arctic Blvd in Anchorage. The winery sources juice and grape skins from producers around the world, then ferments them on site. Customers can make their own batch or taste what's already in the cellar. The house signature is Spruce Tip Wine, made with Sitka spruce tips from South East Alaska and Eklutna glacier water. That same wine becomes the Spruce Tip Mule, mixed with ginger beer. Bottles range from $16 to $40. Tastings run five 2-ounce pours for $25, or three for $15.
