About Weingut Willi Haag
Five centuries of family stewardship in the Mosel, anchored by stone that reaches back to the 15th century. Marcus Haag has directed the cellar since 1995, taking full operational control in 1997 after formal training in viticulture. The current working building opened in 1999. Vineyard work centers on two south-facing sites, Brauneberger Juffer and Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr, both with slate weathering soils. The house holds founding membership in the VDP. Half the production moves to export markets. The tasting program accommodates up to 40 guests. The wines appear regularly in Der Feinschmecker, Eichelmann, and Gault Millau.
