About Weingut K-J Thul
Weingut K-J Thul has worked the steep vineyards around Thörnich since 1870, now tending approximately 10 hectares across Thörnich, Detzem, and Riol in the Mosel. Karl-Josef Thul leads the program. Riesling dominates the plantings at over 65 percent, joined by Weißburgunder, Müller Thurgau, Spätburgunder, Regent, and Dornfelder. The Schieferklang series draws from those steep sites. Thörnicher Ritsch, Detzemer Maximiner Klosterlay, and Eselspfad anchor the portfolio, alongside sparkling and semi-sparkling expressions. A Vinothek opens for tasting. A Straußwirtschaft operates May through August on sunny days, serving homemade food alongside the wines.
